Latvia celebrates its 90 th anniversary of the proclamation of the State

Today Latvia celebrates its 90 th anniversary of the proclamation of the state.

The culmination of the festivities will be held in the capital. The celebrations will occur ecumenical worship at the Dome Cathedral with the participation of heads of state, followed by a wreath-laying at the Freedom Monument, the parade of the National Armed Forces and the gala concert at the National Theater, said agency LETA. In the evening the President will make a congratulatory address to the people of Latvia’s Freedom Monument, a commemorative program complete the colorful light show on the waterfront of the Daugava.
